My name is Ágnes Vágó. Art has always been a part of my life. I’ve been painting for my own enjoyment at home for a long time, and worked at a flower shop where I could use my creativity for bouquets or flower arrangements. Nowadays I focus solely on painting. I like gardening in my free time, as well as creating for my own purpose: fixing up furniture, creating a fireplace, or any other object I can make with my own hands.
I’m inspired by many artists such as Boris Vallejo, Thomas Kinkade, Gábor Vida, László Gulyás, Péter Duhaj, Michael James Smith, Olivia De Berardis, and so on. The themes of their paintings may be different, but their art is similarly realistic and has the same precise craftmanship that I aim for as well. I respect the determination and humility that shows in their paintings.
When it comes to themes, I like still lives, landscapes and portraits, but fantasy worlds, and painting humans forms is closest to my heart.
I paint my art onto stretched, primed art canvas using quality oil paint. Oil paint gives me a lot of freedom to make sure my paintings are very detailed, as it takes a long time to dry. When I create, I paint the feelings inside my heart, and the fantasy world inside my head onto the canvas. Paintings equals happiness to me! I’ve always wanted to share this feeling with others. I’d like to take them away from their everyday life for a second, to show them a whole new world through my paintings. I’d like to show you my fantasy world through my paintings! I hope you’ll appreciate them, and they’ll bring you joy!
I’ve searched through many blogs about paintings I was interested in, and I like to believe I learnt many things about them. This is why I’ve decided to share my experiences, in hopes they can be of help to others.
